Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease became the main cause for chronic liver disease. It has prevalence in increasing the proportion of obesity. The main cause for this disease includes tamoxifen, amiodarone and exposure to certain petrochemicals. This disease is the most likely diagnosis in a patient with serum transaminases and negative chronic liver disease screen. Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease can be investigated by using some methods like liver function tests, ultrasound, and liver biopsy. But the current treatment for this disease is tending to reducing BMI and insulin resistance. Apart from this weight loss also tends to bring down insulin resistance.
