Q Fever

Q fever is caused by coxiella bacteria that affect both the human beings and animals. This bacterium is mostly not found in humans but it mainly found in domestic animals such as dogs, cats, sheeps etc.It is an airborne disease which spreads by contaminated particles in air. The incubation period is 9 to 40 days. This fever can be easily diagnosed in microbiology laboratories. Treatment for this disease can be implemented by using antibiotics such as doxycycline, tetracycline, ofloxacin; ciprofloxacin etc.This disease can be prevented by using vaccination method. To prevent the infection the persons should take annual screening tests. By taking the correct preventive measures we can avoid the spreading of this disease.
